summer in february

Today was 80 degrees and gorgeous.  We enjoyed it the max and even put Willa in the swing for the first time.  I think she liked it!

4 months with Willa

Oh Willa girl, you had a heck of a 4th month!

You enjoyed oh so many snuggles from your siblings.

You saw your first snow.

You started sleeping in your crib most of the time….until you got a cold at the end of the month and ended up back in your swing in Mom and Dad’s room.  You’ve been waking up at least a couple of times throughout the night; we’ve had some rough ones (the worst yet actually so overall you’ve been an awesome sleeper).

You really enjoyed looking at the Christmas tree.

You went Christmas shopping with Mom.

You got to go to the Christmas party at Maggie’s school.

You put your hands or your finger in your mouth all the time.  Drool!  Could you possibly be teething already?

You make this funny growling sound a lot, especially at Jackson who makes you chuckle a lot.  (Sometimes we put you in his bean bag chair and he talks at you in this funny, deep, raspy voice and you think it’s pretty fun.)

And of course….your FIRST CHRISTMAS and NEW YEARS!

We went to Pullen park and the Videri Chocolate factory.

You love to look at books and play with your toys.  You’re getting pretty good at reaching and grabbing things.  And your eye is still looking just fine!

You’re outgrowing all of your clothes!  You’ve been wearing 9 month stuff 🙂

We love you Willa.  The time is flying by.  I’m trying to soak it all up.

2018 in Review

I’ve said for a long time that I don’t really like New Year’s.  I realized that I don’t especially like going out on New Year’s Eve but I LOVE the New Year.  I love thinking of exciting and fresh goals for the year and so far this year I have particularly enjoyed looking back on 2018.  It wasn’t necessarily a significant year for me “goal-wise” but  I did grow and give birth to a third human, so there’s that.  This year will definitely go down in the books as a big one for us.  The year four suttons became five.  Maggie learned to swim and spell her name.  Jackson played basketball and had not one but two casts!  We played in the snow, hiked in the mountains, swam in the ocean, played at the Y, went to parks, painted, read, went to the library, played with our neighbors.  It was a year of baby prep and baby cuddles.

Can’t wait to see how these three grow and surprise us in 2019.
